Elizabeth Hinshaw is a self-taught, award winning portrait artist who specializes in charcoal and pastel pencils. For over twenty years she has been showing her art and accepting commissions from clients, both corporate and private, from around the world.

She is well-known for her natural talent of seeing the inner beauty and light of her subjects, and her ability to transfer that vision in realistic detail to her art. Working from only a photograph, Elizabeth captures life.

Her extensive portfolio of hundreds of subjects include not only people (adults and children) but also pets of all kinds. Elizabeth will portray your dog, cat or any other pets, as well as, horses and large or exotic animals with grace. Elizabeth can work from most photos, slightly torn or damaged, are usually not a problem. She will create for you art works that commemorate special occasions such as graduation, weddings birthdays and anniversaries.

Significant portions of Elizabeth's work is in providing her customers with very real memories of loved ones. She can use photos of different stages of an individuals life to depict their evolutionary process.

Elizabeth unique abilities to work directly from photographs opens up a whole world of possibilities. Some examples of combinations are:

  • Individual photos creating family groupings (including pets);
  • Many pets from separate photos combined in a real - life setting;
  • Anniversary portraits (then and now).

Once you have decided to order, send a suitably sized photo of the Subject(s), the minimum head size in the photo should be 1 1/2 inches for best results. The clearer the photo the better the finished product will be. Make your choice of color pencil or charcoal, available sizes, and number of heads. We accept major credit cards.
